How much do you think we'll see?

How much nudity do you think we'll see in this series? Kind of tough to tell from the trailer. Has anyone seen the first three episodes at Sundance Film Festival?

reply

Well it is on Starz so probably a lot of boobs, ass, flaccid wieners, and lots of dimly lit humping.

reply

Full frontal?

reply

Pop-rock-rules, not for nothing, but with all the complexity of plot and content that the original film had and that this series might have, "how much are we going to see" is the first question that you can come up with? Please grow up a bit already please.

There are a whole lot more important and interesting questions to ask about a series like this - such as what it says about the American culture's streak of puritanism and why the US seems to be the only nation titillated by these kind of programs - as well as what it has to say about the American collective maturity level being around the middle of the 6th grade or so.

reply

Actually the reason I ask is because these days ratings are so particular regarding content that one program can have much more graphic content than another of the same rating. There's nothing wrong with asking. Also how do you know I don't have kids or something and I want to monitor what I want them watching? The "grander scheme" of things very often isn't all that important if the smaller things aren't taken into account or looked at. Don't assume a question or comment is immature just because you don't like it.

reply

You've asked how much nudity there is going to be five times on this board. What are we supposed to think?

reply

I didn't ask 5 times. I believe I only asked once and I got my response.

How much skin do you think it'll show?
x 2

Full frontal?

My mistake, only four times.

I stand corrected. Ever hear the phrase "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all"?

reply

You know what the shows about. If you have kids and have to ask here if it's appropriate for them, you shouldn't be a parent.

reply

Still waiting for the whole lot more important questions about this series.

reply

What could be so earth shatteringly important about a show about hookers?
"Do you think she was faking it?"

sex portrayed on little or big screen is made for commerce and not aesthetic's .This is just 50 shades a grey the tv series no need to go in depth and look for meaning here because there clearly is none .Europeans are just as much obsessed with sex if not more than american's in america we package it up for you .Another stupid hollywood libtard making a mountain out of ant hill are we supposed to feel bad for this stupid bitch for whoring herself out ? She was smart enough to get into law school but not smart enough to find a job to pay her way so she turns to whoring ? .Basic premise of show girl going through law school needs money to pay her bills takes the sleazy route why? not because of some profound reason but necessity .Lots of sex and nudity with some story so it'll be geared toward the porn generation young adults probably from 17-25 will be their target audience .This same target audience that has a 6th grade sexual maturity level. So its perfect at the end of the day in america its business as usual.Whats wrong with puritanism? the idea to basically have self respect for yourself and your body .Something the whores in this show don't have can't have much self respect for yourself if your whoring yourself out for money because that's all their doing .If you were smart enough to make money any other way why would u lower yourself down to a whores level ? once again more stupid liberal backwards logic

There is a lot of irony in your end line.

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have something to say "

and it is supposed to read:

"Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something" Plato

Whoa. Who made you the judge of what questions a person is allowed to have about this television series? What gives you the right to judge and deem this person as "immature" simply for asking a question? Who cares what he asked or what reasons you believe he had for asking, this guy was curious about something and asked a question.

Your response was not helpful. It didn't give him an answer. You kinda just put him down because you solely think it's immature to ask about the nudity content of a film. You say he's acting like he's in 6th grade, I say you are. Are people supposed to ignore or avoid discussing any sexual curiosity they may have about something, or can we be adults and realize that sex is a normal thing and perfectly okay to discuss or have an interest in.

You really came off as this snooty, holier-than-thou snob. There's no need for it. The easier thing for you would've been to just not respond. Nobody makes you respond or comment to things. You don't have to, especially if you aren't contributing to what the thread is actually about.

If you're too immature, or snooty, or high-brow to discuss sex like a normal, healthy adult, then don't. Nobody cares.

Yes and there are threads about them. When you think of an interesting question to ask about this show, you are totally free to go make a thread and ask it. Regardless of what you think, or how high-brow you believe yourself to be by ignoring the issue or nudity and sex, it is an interesting topic to people. I mean, this show is based on a film that was about a prostitute and starred by pornstar. I think it's reasonable to ask about the sexual content or how much nudity is going to be in this television show.

This message board to discuss interesting aspects of this show, right? The nudity is certainly going to be an interesting aspect of this show to some people. It doesn't make them immature. It makes them human. This isn't a competition to see who is the most "mature". It's not really a big deal if you don't make it into one.

^^^This is how you respond to a post. Jdr618 answered the OP's question without any pretentious, pompous judgement attached.
