Thoughts on the finale/ending? Creators' verdict on the protagonist?

I'm not sure I completely got it but it seems like that was the intention of the creators. It was fascinating anyway.

There were quite a few conflicts unresolved or left ambiguous? Who sent the video(I might be leaning a bit towards Christine)? How does Christine really feel about her job, especially in the end? (also, what exactly happened with Avery?) One of the showrunners have said that we are meant to doubt the genuineness of the characters' actions/feelings most times so I guess that was the idea.

Most likely Jack sent the tape as payback for going to his wife and rejecting him.

That wasn't his wife. That was his friend.

I was confused by some things. The show disappeared off on demand after episode 5, I think. I watched the remainder on You Tube. But the shows were of varying length as if parts were missing.

Did she get the $500,000 left to her in her client's will. His family hired a private detective who tried to blackmail her and she asked her lawyer if they were willing to ruin their father's reputation after they inherited a $22,000,000 estate. They could afford her inheritance.

I remember her lawyer talking about a settlement if she agreed to wait one year and sign a non disclosure agreement. Was this the inheritance or the sexual harassment threat?

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

She did not receive any money from her client because of his family. She did receive $1M from her employer over the sexual harassment.

Truth be told, I had to see you one more time, even if it was from a distance.

I'm with you, I think it was Christine who leaked the video. She was so calculating and controlling that I wouldn't put it past her. I think it's interesting that they never officially reveal who leaked it on the show - some viewers will think it's Jack and others will lean towards Christine.

When the finale ended my first thought was, 'wait, that's it?!' But while the credits rolled I realized how great the ending was. I watched the 'inside the episode' and one of the show's creators said that the finale episode takes place months after episode 12 and the three things he wanted to stress where:
1) Christine has chosen this life. Being an escort is her career.
2) She is in complete control. This is shown during the role playing scene - she's the one calling all the shots.
3) She is not sexually engaged - during a close up of her face you can tell that she's not enjoying it.

Very interesting series. I'm curious if this was just a one season thing? Will there be a second season? If so will it center around Christine or is her story complete? I think it would be cool if each season centered around a different female escort.

Yeah, it did leave quite a few things ambiguous. A reviewer said its approach is more like an European art house film which I'd kind of agree with.

I saw the behind the scenes interviews with the creators too which were pretty interesting. It was her decision totally and seemed to be in control but towards the end of the finale there seemed to be a hollow feeling, even within her (usually she made her own decisions and seemed to be fine with it). The series doesn't really glorify or criticize her but there seems to be a feeling of emptiness in especially the last scene, which I found to be quite sad. Brilliant final shot too.

In Spain VOD we didn't get the Behind the scenes videos! I'm sure they help a lot to understand the story and its characters.

Did Christine's sister abandon her in the restaurant in the season finale or we should think she went back from the toilet?

My interpretation of the final episode is that yes, she chooses this as a career. I think it's OK, but I wish we had a little more closure in the other characters' storylines, etc.

I also wish Christine showed her family that this job can be as professional and serious as any other job.

Oh, and that she went back to Jack and ask him why he leaked her video (since I thought it was him as a revenge, she seemed destroyed... I don't think she was the one responsible of that).

I think some people have way too much money. That last dude was really wack.
