What happened to her roomate / friend?

They had sex together and then disappeared (it seems ) im only on episode five but ut serms weird to sweep it under the rug like that,

reply

Yes, it was weird.

Since Avery's career as a prostitute went down I think she disappeared and went far away, cutting her ties with Christine. But I'm just guessing.

reply

Why would she cut ties with her ? Especially before she was outed as a call girl .

reply

She stole from both of them and tried to talk the main character into going to Florida with her. After the madam told her on the telephone that she had stolen from her, the main character looked in a jewelry box and saw that it was empty meaning she had stolen from her as well.

I don't know everything. Neither does anyone else

reply

I wasnt sure about that part thank you .

reply

I want to know this too. I'm on episode 11, and was hoping they would at least mention her. But not yet.

reply

She was a user of people. The madam was actually right about her. Her sleeping with her friend was a n emotionally manipulative move to get her to forgive her for using her apartment as an incall and also to let her guard down.

reply

by reading all the posts... there may have been some resolution. however, she may come back into play down the line. just have to wait and see, I guess.

reply

Her roommate was way hotter than she is. I was bummed she was only on the show for a few episodes.

reply

The more episode you watch, the more you'll notice that each episode ends with a bit of cliff-hanger that does not immediately get resolved in the next episode. It hard to tell when the story will pick back up. The show is well written, so I assuming there is a long term story arc, and these episodes that are left leaving us wondering will have answers later.

reply

Thats a good observation.

I think having Avery steal from Christine and then disappear was a plot device to get her out of the picture. Avery was Christine's only friend and also her link to the escort world. As Christine began to experience difficulty with some clients, she had no one to talk to about it and no one to get advice from. Getting Avery out of the way opened up story lines in which Christine ran into trouble and had no one to help her figure out how to handle things.

reply

I see what you are saying but getting rid of her could have been written a whole lot better than it was.
Having her have sex with her roomate/ best friend seems like it was done for titaltion than any real reason .

reply

She ripped her off, then took off because she's a dirty rotten crook.
