As one...this is very watered down for cable.

The life definitely requires intelligence so the girls on this series remind me of other girls I've worked with. The men however, aren't Alpha enough.
This show is entertaining and probably an eye opener for those who are curious about how it works when a girl gets started. It's just a little to monotone and quick to cut off the conversations when she is with a client. Another disappointment is that the thrill doing this job falls flat. I was really hoping there was finally a show that revealed the fun and decadence that is had rather than darkness and desperation 90% of the time.

They could have gone a 1000 different ways, but at least they didn't make a it typical drama where everything was laid out and had clear resolutions. Most of the time, we are left not knowing the the answers to a lot questions.

From the "behind the scenes" interviews, the produces & writers implied\stated that they did a lot research with actual women who provide the GF experience, and didn't want to glamorize\promote the business as great way of life for young women to consider as a career.

As these women get past their prime can use plastic surgery to extend their business, but for the most part they can't maintain looking 20 something forever, and compete with the natural look of young 18 year old girls entering the business.
