Puppies and kittens...
I was watching a retrospective of The Walking Dead leading up to the season premiere, and Rick used that term to describe what the Walkers *aren't*... I never knew Z Nation got it from there.

shareSame here. I'm new to Z Nation. Just started watching over the summer. And I've heard a couple more shout outs too.
1: Puppies and Kittens TWD
2: during an Ep of Fear the Dead, a character asks to be shown mercy
3: during an Ep of ZN, a character used the term walkers
I think it is hella cool that the two series give acknowledgement of one another even though they are so different. Although I just say, I think I love ZN as much as I do TWD. I have 3 huge TWD tattoos, I think I may need a ZN tattoo also.
In ep6, Doc is knocked over the head with a guitar, and gets back up, and then gets hit again. I couldn't help but think that was a subtle nod to Negan from TWD bashing people in the head with his bat. I know it's a stretch, but it is possible that Z Nation was referencing that.
shareI thought the ending of episode 7 was a nod to Merle Dixon on TWD. ;-)
shareThey also referred to "some dirty guy with a crossbow" in an episode of Z Nation.
shareLiterally noticed that too while watching TWD marathon and laughed.
shareImagine how cool a crossover show would be. They could make TV history.
shareHahaha can you imagine a conversation between Daryl and Murphy or Rick and Murphy. Or how about Eugene and Murphy? Nah Abraham and Murphy...too bad for that one. But I wonder how the others would go

I'd personally prefer a crossover between Z Nation and iZombie, as they're both very comedic and I think the 2 casts would get along well. Not to mention that both those zombie shows are far superior to TWD in almost every single way. And I say that as a huge fan of TWD.
shareHahahaha someone wants a start a "which show is better debate." There is no comparison between them because all three show are way different. I don't watch izombie so I can't compare that to anything but I like the other two in different ways for different reasons.
