Pregnant girl, did I miss something in this blah season?

Also, This show (IMHO) could use more Citizen Z.

I really enjoyed the first 2 seasons.. clever and fast paced. Starting out with the weird flashback,actually the best episode of season 3 ,so far anyway!
Did the budget get smaller or something?
