Lt Roberta Warren, the ultimate Woman A Wonder ... Pre Z apocalypto, a fair and tough Lady & Soldier 'just trying to do her job'
She Rocks hard like everyone else in the series, finally thru many episodes, wild and wacky journeys that all the cast experience individually and together, she gets her turn to bring closure for the loss of her Husband, fellow 1st Responder who - even as a Z - saves his Wife one last time during the crazy Z tornado!
The bond and friendship with the new Captain guy - forgot his name, but that in no way diminishes his Superb character - that mutual friendship becomes affection and post Z apocalypto, Love saves the day ...
Even tho' the Z cult creeps interrupt these two right before they are about to make Love, Lt Warren is pissed! The Captain guy is to but they both come thru, for the rescue ...
The episode closes with her losing Love yet again ... Allbad, AllWrong, AllSad ... She gets to drinking and pounding back shots of whiskey and at this point, could probably drink anyone under the table!
More episodes, Vasquez steps in. Passed out in the back seat, exhausted on the group's trip to Cali for the Murphy mission, she finally gets a chance to let her hair down and find Love with Vasquez - those 2 have deep Respect for each other -
That is interrupted as it is a dream. But, she still keeps on rockin' and Never Stops Fighting.
By the end of last Season Lt Warren who may have gone to the school of McGyver, becomes a seamless classic Black Chola - no pejorative there - and goes toe to toe with tripped out Queen lady!
And here again, episode 9, she finds Vasquez with a full forehead bandana and goat tee, looking like Benjamin Bratt! But instead of a happy reunion and a jukebox playing a Roberta Flack song ... Instead of those two giving each other to each other, she has to Woman Up and give Vasquez Mercy ...
Keep it coming Syfy folks and Z Nation writers, directors, producers, everyone! Great show!!!
But please, Someday, somewhere no matter how long it takes, give Lt Warren a break! Let her have a calgonite moment, go with Addie and Sun and whom ever wants to go, to get her hair done and her nails done!
That would be a trippy episode, them ending up in an old school hair shop, the characters imagined would give the 2 comic guys a run for their money!
And then let Lt Warren have some Love! Give her a "Love you down" moment! Maybe the Sun will shine so bright it produces a momentary Z pause moment where they simultaneously all start floating a few feet off the ground and get a break from their Constant craving!
