Sorry Kevin - love ya' - it's just not funny

Was in Indy at the 'red carpet' for this movie - Wonderful intro by Harley and Kevin - felt so happy for them. Then the movie started. I made it about 20 minutes in - not a single laugh. Same 'instagram' intro for every character - over and over. It was pretty painful. Walked out of it, even though I had a seat for the podcast presentation to follow (which I really wanted to see). Just couldn't take 40+ more minutes of it. As I was waiting for the parking shuttle - bumped into Kevin leaving the building to take a break before returning - almost said something - but knew he was riding a high from that stellar intro - so didn't. So I'll write here what I would have said. Kevin - I love you - you're an amazing inspiration to nerds everywhere who want to express themselves - but you let me down with this one. Be different, be creative - but please make sure to make your comedy - funny.

I was there too. Sat like 4 rowas back from the stage. I had so much fun watching that film. The energy of the crowd made it all the more fun. Sure it isn't a good movie, but it was pretty entertaining. I loved it. But like Smith said before the movie started, a lot of people are gonna hate it, and he understands. It's such an odd movie.

It was bad, truly, but it was for fun. It may do better with his target audience, which will be preteens and teens. The guy just goes for it. Gotta love him for it.
