Kevin Smith had at least 6 good movies. M Knight managed 3 at most.
That said there are flashes of brilliance in Red State, Tusk and even Yoga Hosers, he just can't keep the style consistent for the whole film.
The guy needs to realize he really sucks and was lucky whatever he made decades ago that were with the times.. Now it's easy to make junk.... And grow up that seems to be a problem with him ... His ego is bigger than his work. Time to close shop
