I've heard Kevin Smith state repeatedly that this movie was meant to be enjoyed pretty much exclusively by teenage girls. I can't see how anyone who's not already a Kevin Smith fan would have even heard that this movie exists.

No, it's meant to be enjoyed by 70 year olds who act like teenage girls and like to ogle their daughter's cleavage... so pretty much Kevin Smith and only Kevin Smith.

I think any teenage girl would find this annoying and turn it off before even 25 minutes go by

1.) At no point during the entire production of Yoga Hosers did Kevin say it was intended for teenage girls. The dude talks his films up non-stop during production (who it's for/what the intent is) and those words were never once uttered, he's just prefacing it differently now to try save face.

2.) I watched this at a friends house, there was about a dozen of us max and the girls were the ones least amused. I think they felt pretty quickly like they were being catered to, but in a condescending way.

I've heard him make similar statements on his Fat man on Batman podcasts. He also said something along the lines that he hoped this movie could be for teenage girls what Clerks was to teenage boys.

Yeah he's said that recently, after he realized the majority of his fans don't like it and he needs something to cling on to so it doesn't feel as fruitless.

Lol, so you think he's flailing desperately? Well, I can't pretend to know that. I will say this:

I haven't seen Tusk. I'm wanting to see it, hopefully in some way that I'm not paying for it. I haven't seen it on Netflix or any of the pay channels I have. But Kevin Smith says Tusk, Yoga Hosers, and Moose Jaws form a Canadian Trilogy he is working on.

As I said, I haven't seen Tusk, but from what I know about it, it doesn't sound like it goes well at all with "a movie for teenaged girls". And Moose Jaws could be jokey or dark, depending on how it's done.

I never said that he mentioned it during production. I've just seen him state it recently on his Youtube channel/podcast, etc.
