Long drawn out dialogues with depp kinda hurt this movie

The movie was really close in being another Scott Pilgrim, but unfortunately it missed the mark on too many of the essentials to make it anywhere near as great. The jokes were hit or miss, but honestly, i laughed quite enough, so that wasn't the problem.

But the pacing was really all over the place and there were times where i got insanely bored by the long drawn out dialogue with Depp's character.

This movie needs one smooth comb over and then it has potential to be something really special

Agree that I found the Depp character boring. Maybe if I had seen Tusk I would have been more interested in the character. Maybe not. Would have preferred to see a more straight up "Clerks" type movie with the girls, instead of the stupid villains.

I guess you are referring to the video game character intros when you are comparing it to Scott Pilgrim. I hadn't thought of that.

I saw tusk, no haha, that didn't add to my enjoyment of him. Now like, he was kinda funny when he was tied up, but those long explanation scenes were well... long.
