Malcolm Mcdowell

Did he quote Michael Caine from Interstellar or was I hearing things? Not sure if it was a direct quote but it was partial. I was slightly disappointed with this movie. Not that I was expecting much. But, Lords of Salem felt like a step in the right direction. It had a Polanski vibe. (The Tenant) Set up for an eerie mystery. (didn't play out so well towards the end) Nevertheless, this movie (31) had no plot. Or should I say...this movie's plot had no depth. It just started and ended in the same way.

We have what we seek, it is there all the time, and if we give it time, it will make itself known.

When Charley is walking down the road at the end of the film I must've dozed off because I thought the van following her was going to be a band of hitchhikers and so I immediately thought of the texas chainsaw massacre.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Then again he constantly rips that movie off so it's kind of expected.

He also ripped off gone with the wind. Not sure about this dude anymore. This was easily his worst film.

Yeah, Interstellar immediately came to mind. It was about "not going gentle into that good night".

The line "Do not go gentle into that good night" is from a famous poem by Dylan Thomas.

is he good in this?

reply

I think he's good in this, even though he's barely given anything to do.

Did the women who played alongside him in 31..were they the witches in Lord's of Salem?

he's dressed as a woman. Oh. I mean sure, if it makes for a complete story. But, in this film it just seemed like RZ's attempt to be eccentric.
