mixed feelings on this one

Meg Foster was the stand out for me, and she wasnt given all that much to do, the movie itself had some decent artistic shots, Zombie is great with that I find, but the movie itself seems to fall apart as it goes on, The opening is great and unnerving but quickly loses steam.

All these characters in the cast list etc, all forgettable, especially the heads, was not at all what I was expecting. But Meg was the beacon of light for the entire film, definitely obvious she has chops, hopefully she'll get some more lead roles in the future, she was great and the only quasi likeable character in the film.

Naturally there is one scene with the super repetitive *beep* *beep* *beep* *beep* lines... The Leaders of the game were good, barely in it, but the set was great and Malcolm is always good.

This movie will disappoint gore hounds, and probably quite a few of Zombie's own fans, atleast anyone with high expectations. IT was not worth the wait in my opinion, however it was atleast original, Absolutely hated the ending, if I had actually managed to scrounge up any feelings towards the characters it would have had the bad ass bring it vibe it was going for instead of me sitting there waiting for the credits to roll.

Out of all his films, in my opinion, this was the weakest link, loved every single other film of his i've seen (never saw the cartoon one however) Hopefully he continues doing originals versus any remakes, he's strongest when he does his own stuff, this just wasn't what I thought it would be, but it's worth a viewing if you're a fan of his work.

But it's definitely an acquired taste kind of film and won't leave a good mark on everyone, only some.

Sadly i'd rate this one a 4.5/10. (not trying to be rude anyone, just can't lie)
