Hard to comment when I couldn't see what was going on...

<perhaps a minor spoiler below - you've been advised>

Am a pretty big fan of horror films and while I am no fanboy, I have nothing against Zombie and his films. His uber-grindhouse vision is not always to my taste or preferences, but I do applaud Rob's efforts to try and make films that he loves.

Seen all of his films and yes, for me, some far better than others.

This one? I feel like I can't even comment very much since I really couldn't see what the hell was going on in a large portion of the scenes.

The most notable was during the two clown chainsaw cage match sequence.

Honestly, I really had no idea what action was happening.

Possibly one of the worst shot action/fighting sequences I have ever seen [or not seen, in this case]. Just WAY TOO MANY close-up shots, compounded by interminable shaky cam and god-awful strobe lighting effects.

Rob, I think you're better than this.

I read here that this film was intended to be a horror fan's dream come true.

If so, it might have been better to film the movie in ways that people could actually see what was going on.

cheers

PS: Totally forgot to mention - the ever amazing Richard Brake was his usual, deranged, over-the-top self. Best part of this film, hands down for me.
