Nope, movie was good fun.
While not as good as Devils Rejects, for me it is probably his second best film for me personally, tied with Corpses and Lords of Salem as the next best.

Yeah. You nailed it on the head. Anyone who doesn't like a movie is clearly jealous. Nobody, ever, has any valid reason to dislike a film or a director except jealousy. Your sense of logic is amazing.
I remember everyone crapping on Uwe Boll, and same thing: it's clear they are jealous.

I'm a "hardcore fan" and it didn't "bomb" with me. Did it live up to expectations? No. But certainly no worse than any garbage that passes as horror these days.
I'll take 31 over "The Purge" series which seems to have quite a following for the pile of trash that it is.
It was a horrible mess. He made everyone's acting seem total sh!t.

At least The Purge has a plot and decent acting. What does Zombie have going for him? You don't have to like The Purge or any other "horror" movies but I do hope you realize that the quality (acting, directing, soundtrack, editing) is a lot better in The Purge and pretty much most movies that hit the theaters.

In fact, most horror movies aren't known for they great acting. Some of the most famous horror films of all time have bad acting.
With that said, 31 wasn't great by any standards. But I certainly wouldn't call it the worst movie ever.
I also don't think Zombie is 'a hack.' I thought HO1KC and TDR were both great. The first Halloween remake was just ok. He's been on a bit of a dry spell lately but he's certainly proved to be capable to me. 31 may have been a bust, but cut the man some slack, he is new to the film industry in comparison with some of these other director's/producer's.
What I find most ironic is these twits that clearly have an axe to grind with Rob Zombie, and watch his films purely out of spite with clear intent to be critical.
While 31 may have deserved it. The Firefly Family was fantastic in both films I don't care what anybody says.
It's kind of like Eli Roth. "Torture Porn" as they call it. If you don't like extensive gore movies don't freaking watch it. You're clearly only doing so out of spite. Because you know what you're going to get going into it.
