I agree. It was cute at first but his films can hardly be taken seriously when his wife is the lead female role in everything. This one was crowd funded because studios are tired of it too.

I had no problem with her in either The Devil's Rejects or The Lords Of Salem.

Personally I'd be interested in seeing him direct something he didn't write. He's a decent director, but could use better scripts to work with.

shareHer acting in this film was terrible. You've got to be kidding me. It's like she did every scene in one take. After every line she read I was saying to myself, "That's the take you went with? Oh, you probably only did one take because this movie sucks donkey balls."
sharei actually like Sheri. she's not an amazing actress but i don't find her to be all that horrible either. it depends on the role for her i think. the main problem with Rob Zombie movies is he is a horrible writer so therefore no actor or actress cast in most roles in his films will ever have much to work with.

I haven't felt let down by any of her performances yet. All of her characters are very different. A demented killer, a caring mother, an angry spirit, a recovering addict, etc. and she has done a good job at playing each one. I feel that if her last name wasn't "Zombie" and she wasn't married to the director, her performances wouldn't get as much criticism as they do. People assume that just because Rob Zombie is her husband and she mainly stars in his films it means she can't act which isn't the case. I bet she could get other roles if she wanted to, she just doesn't want to. If she does a good job in each role (which she does) and they enjoy working together I see no reason she shouldn't be in his movies.

If her last name wasn't zombie she wouldn't be acting at all. I'm not saying that to be funny or to throw jabs at you. I'm saying it because I believe it's the truth. I find Sheri extremely attractive and her acting is maybe, MAYBE average but Hollywood is full of beautiful girls that can act much better than she can. I could see her getting bit parts and maybe a starring role on a straight to dvd (3.0/10 rating) but even that would be kind of stretching it.
Still her last name IS Zombie and she is where she is in movies so more power to her. I'd take the opportunity and run with it just like she has. Can't fault her for that. share
