The extreme shaky cam made it impossible to see anything!
it seemed more shaky cam than the BOURNE movies (almost).

shareYes it sure did
shareShaky cam and tight focus... it was like those crappy Transformers movies where you can't tell who's doing what to whom. Coverup for not knowing how to film a proper fight sequence?
shareexactly! :)
shareI usually don't like shaky cam, especially not in action movies (like Transformers) where there is already so much movement that it is hard to focus on what is happening / who is doing what to whom.
In this movie, I didn't mind the shaky cam. I think because 31 was so slow and the shaky cam made it almost seem like there was something exciting happening.
I saw how crappy it was no matter the amount of fancy camera shaking and freeze framing.
shareI wasn't going to comment as people say I never even noticed the camera shaking. Why do filmakers use this horrible lazy camera work? Putting yourself as the eyes of the camera you would would moving up and down and left and right. Unless you are drunk or have some serious vertigo issue, no one would be acting like this.
USE A FREAKING TRIPOD!!!!
[sheesh}
There probably should've been a warning for people prone to seizures at the start of this film. Between the shaky cam and the strobe lighting during the fight between Charly and Sex-head I can see it causing a few.
shareI don't enjoy it, but I understand its use in found-footage films. But this?!? It was used here as an excuse for poor practical effects and terrible fight scene choreography. Now include a strobe light and you've got a recipe for a depressed seizure.
We've met before, haven't we?
