Rob Zombie ripped off Slashers?

Has anyone picked up the pretty blatant similarly between Psycho Head /Schizo Head and Chainsaw Charlie from the '01 movie Slashers?
Half clown masks
Chainsaw welding
Overtones that they are hillbillies
Once defeated, beg for their lives saying they were only participants due to them being victims too?
The whole movie had the same feel, but those characters were almost carbon copies.

Except Slashers was WAAAYYY better.

Yes, he did. But somehow, despite having 15 years to improve upon it, he turned in a worse movie than 'Slashers', which was actually pretty good.
