Just saw this last night and man, I have to say it was not good. I didn't think it was terrible per say, but it felt hopelessly misguided and all over the place, there are some good things in it here and there, but the humour was forced and unfunny. I didn't hear anyone in the theatre laugh at the obvious comic relief. Not to mention this pedophile actor controversy that reared its head on release, that seemed to be the final nail in the coffin.

I don't know about Shane Black's career from here on out, but this isn't going to do him any favours.

Yeah I want my time back from just watching the trailer - no way am I going to pay to watch this film.

The film felt like the script went through a rewrite or two as in certian plot elements weren't fully developed. As for the humor I figured it was on par wit shane blacks humor in the originl 1987 predator which wasn't really funny either. "Me too mines as big as a house?".

Finally saw it. Utter garbage. I haven't been that miserable leaving the theater since Valerian. When we came out of the theater, the ticket guy kinda gave us a look as to say "I'm sorry." I just glared back at him.

I didn't feel the need to walk out mid-movie though, and so I guess that's a minor win because that's where my expectations were at.

I blame the studio more for the film itself but the sex offender controversy is all on Black. He ought to have known better.

Some might argue that once a man has done his time, he should be free to rejoin society.

Also, as weird as it is, it's worth pointing out that at the end of the day what we're talking about here are inappropriate e-mails.

The first half of the movie is legitimately good. The second half is bland and forgettable.

Overall I enjoyed it well enough and would probably give it a 6.5. It definitely could've been better, but it also could've been much, much worse.

I enjoyed the humor personally and was happy to see a movie today buck the trend of kowtowing to political correctness.

It's a more fun movie than 2010's Predators or AvP 2.

Yeah, I give it about a 5.5/6 rating. I never got into Predators and I haven't seen AvP 2, but I actually didn't mind the first AvP to be honest.

I liked AvP as well. Would've been better if it were rated R and didn't have the girl teaming up with the Predator at the end, but Paul Anderson pushed the PG-13 rating about as far as it would go and it was a fun and stylish movie in the end.

I used to own it.
