The casting was not a big deal, this was more about Dustin's story
Let's face, this is a Lifetime drama, not that they don't have good ones, but they did a fairly good job with the characters.
I have to admit, knowing all the SBTB episodes pretty well and the characters, I wouldn't have imagined it being that bad for Dustin. He was an annoying character I admit, but seeing the show, I wouldn't imagine that MPG and Dustin weren't cooler with each other. I can definitely believe the "being left out" angle he protrayed. Cool beautiful people at that age will definitely tend to let it go to their head and easily blow off others.
I know about all the stuff Dustin got into after the show, and part of me doesn't really blame him. All those years of not getting women built up to when he finally found out how to, he let it all out (no pun intended) and it's like he's making up for lost time.
But this Unauthorized docudrama, even though its bias toward Dustin's view, really surpirsed me on how such people as MPG and Tiffany not having some sort of even brotherly relationship with Dustin (i.e. the way she barely hugged him when she left after all those years).
Yes, I'd love to hear character reactions/buttle to how they were portrayed.
