AGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

What the living hell?I tried. I really did. It isn't a love letter to the show despite what the kid playing Mark Paul Gosslar said. The times when they showed scenes from the show was nothing like the show. Not the sets. Costumes. Even the lines.

Diamond says this sets the record straight.BSSSSSS. This movie is kind of very pro Diamond anti everyone else.

This movie tarnishes the name of the show. Why would Lifetime do this?

But there is one positive the woman who played Hayley Mills aka Miss Bliss at least sounded like her.

It wasn't meant to be a true story. It's obviously trump up to the highest degree but it's still entertaining. And it brings back a lot of memories for me, saved by the bell got me through junior high.

What memories?

reply

Just watching the show, remembering all the styles and how stupid we looked at times.

Also keep in mind going back to your OP, that SBTB is NBC property. They couldn't really make it look like the show or they could get sued.

Who is this guy that is trying to blackmail Screech? The character is named Eric. Is he supposed to be someone??

reply

I knew it was gonna be cheezy but it also was boring. Not that I'd believe anything, but if it was gonna be fake scandal at least make it interesting scandal. Nothing actually happens at all!

reply

Yeah it was pretty boring. The only good part that they could have showed was when Screech said he got drunk and laid...and they just skipped right over it! And I don't know who was the casting director was but none of those people even looked remotely like the original cast!

A lot of the cast was picked due to be currently on TV and they sort of resemble their real life counter parts. I agree it was poorly done. I mean when Screech is taller then Zack, that is a problem lol.

You all realize this was a movie based off of Dustin Diamond's book, right? That's why it's told from "Screech's" point of view. It's what he remembers from his days on the set, and his "relationship" with the other actors and cast and crew on the show. The fact is, he was treated extremely badly by many on that set, but most especially by Mark Paul Gosslar.

I happen to like Mark, but I do understand where Dustin is coming from.

Now, as far as the film itself goes, no, it wasn't great. But it's a Lifetime movie, so really, did you expect greatness? Because if you did, you've only got yourself to blame for that one. I knew it wasn't going to be a great, or even very good film. I still tuned in because I grew up watching this show (the Saved By the Bell years. I didn't see the Good Morning, Miss Bliss show until years after I'd watched Saved by the Bell), and I wanted to see Dustin's viewpoint on things.
