shareI never laughed at the original, but I did find her to be over the top in that scene. But let's be honest, Elizabeth was never a very good actress. I remember trying to force myself to watch Showgirls so I could understand all the negative hype that movie generated at the time. She was terrible in that too. And as much as I haven't like the actress playing her in this movie because of the accent issue, people in other threads talking about this scene are right, acting-wise, she is superior to the real Elizabeth Berkley.
