This movie went from hilarious to tragic so seamlessly.

The kids going through all the dangerous stuff in the car was so uncomfortably funny to watch. Throwing the rifles around, looking down the barrel to see if it was clogged, Playing with the defibrillator. "Aim for the vest!". How darkly comic can you get? The bloody dude trying to hide under his robe. Comedy gold

Then when you think it's all over, it turns horribly tragic. I would have preferred the kids nonchalantly slithered away from the scene, and gotten away clean. But the movie wouldn't have had a fraction of the impact.

They say there's no more original movies coming out any more. That's BS. This movie was the best thing I've seen in a long time. And it cost peanuts to produce compared to the last Marvel stinker.

It was a really good movie. I didn't really see the ending as tragic, necessarily. I like to think he got his buddy to the hospital in time. He could see the city, and was on the radio with the dispatcher.

I think he made it for the reasons you stated.

That kid was the wussy at the start of the film, by the end he was the more capable of the two.

He floored it with the lights and sirens blaring all the way to the ER where the medics were waiting for them.

while i agree that's probably how it ended i do like that they left it open. you think but you don't KNOW if they made it. leaves you thinking about it instead of answering all of it for you.

Reading all these posts has made me realize how good the kids were. Little dudes got some acting skills and came across very natural. Dumb, yes, but still natural.
