Don't worry. They certainly did. Travis was already a goner on the backseat and his mate crashed the car, which wasn't unlikely the way he was driving blind in the pitch dark with no headlights at 80 mph.

I was ok with the kids. maybe it was because i watched even more annoying kids in the movie NO ESCAPE. those 2 girls truly deserved to die.

We don't know that they lived. It's left to the viewer to ponder. Maybe the writing sucked so bad the producers said "enough, the movie ends here..."
