SPOILERS! The Ending and Saul. Other peoples' opinions are welcomed!

SPOILERS ARE AHEAD. MOUSE-HOVER to READ POST, PLEASE

I think that Saul ultimately escaped the camp by swimming across the river, to put it simply. That is that the ultimate scenes were not a fever=dream, if you will.

What are others' thoughts?

Also, Saul saved that one blonde kid's life, didn't he?

Asking because it was a bit hard to tell what was reality and what was much more wishful-thinking and dreamlike.

Unfortunately, I don't think there was any fantasy element to the ending. I believe they were all killed, including Saul.

Sadly, yes. You saw the kid and German soldiers. Then you hear machine gun fire. The Germans killed all of the men hiding in the shack.
