This will be the best forgeign language winner at the 2016 Oscars.
I have no doubt about it and it would be very well deserved.

Truly great movie, especially for a first time director.

I read Sony Picture bought the US distribution rights, so there will be a release for sure

Agreed. This was the first film that I saw at TIFF this year (I have plenty more to go) and I can already say that it'll be very difficult for another film to upstage it. Not impossible, but 'Saul' REALLY set the bar high.

I don't know what the competition will be but it will be very hard to be stronger and more emotionally charged than this film. If a movie really deserves an Oscar, it's this one. Compared to some of the movies that have been nominated in the main categories over the recent years, it's a lesson in cinematography and conceptual interpretation.

A lesson in how NOT to shoot a film, you mean? What is so great about having a shaky camera showing the back of the main character's head for half the duration of the film?

I was screaming at the film ... enough of the back of his head. Totally overplayed!!!

The film is wonderful, but maybe too much strong and dark and sad for win an Oscar...
