"Mystery Science Theater" makes no sense

In the Halloween episode 2024, they keep mentioning something called 'Mystery Science Theater' and making jokes about it.

However, such a thing doesn't exist, so it makes no sense.

There's a similarly-named show that DOES exist, 'Mystery Science Theater 3000', but NONE of them EVER mentioned the 'three thousand' whatsoever!

Why?

WHY??

I guess they didn't want to make sense, or wanted to mention something fictional instead of something that actually exists.. chowderheads, the lot of them!

Well, you have to admire them for making the Plinkett Reviews (some of which were sadly diluted, others were thankfully more on point), and for the 'Rich can't pronounce words' montages, some pretty good 'Re:Views', funny puns and other humorous expressions, but dang I hate when they are THIS SLOPPY. They should be more professional than that.
