Their are better Musicals
i havent revisited film nor do i plan too better Musicals exist this isnt one of them happy it lost to the More Progressive Moonlight also Damien Chazelle proved to be a one hit wonder director
shareI don't ordinarily like musicals BUT I actually enjoyed La La Land. Based on my uninformed opinion, La La Land is more of a hybrid musical since it has a GREAT story and the music/dance numbers are good enough for casual viewers. Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone are both really good actors whose performances made me want to see them both realize their dreams.
I thought Moonlight was HORRIBLE and both Arrival and Manchester by the Sea were boring. Hidden Figures was a fun film but it had too many historical inaccuracies. I would never watch Hacksaw Ridge since it glorified a soldier who would not pick up a weapon. I think La La Land should have been the best picture after watching a few of them BUT that is just my uninformed opinion.
