Dreams and success

Today, I saw La La Land for the 7th time, and as I watched the movie I noticed something that I would like to share. (Sorry for my bad english, may be painful to read haha).

So, this movie is about two dreamers who want to achieve their dreams, and in the second act of the movie I started to think about this, spoilers ahead:

When Sebastian accepted Keith's proposal and joined his band, I noticed that he gave up on his dream of Jazz and open a club, but he gained some success, a steady job, lot of money and fame. Even though that wasn't what he truly wanted he was succesful, but also felt incomplete and uncomfortable.

When it comes to Mia, she worked so hard on his play, she was doing what she love and accomplished her dream of perform and being an actress, but the play wasn't succesful and she failed in that, it was a disaster for her.

So, my conclusion towards the end of the movie was: they accomplished their dreams in a succesful way, they felt good about it, even when they ended up separated. It's not just about accomplish the dreams they had, they needed to make it in succesful way, make it work.

So for me, the movie is just about that, not only working on reaching a dream, but make it happen in a succesful way.

Truth is like poetry, and most people fckng hate poetry
