Is Emma Stone ever going to star in a serious movie?

She always does these light-hearted, ditzy roles that don't really require serious acting. If that's all she's going to do, she won't last long in the business.

The 'daughter' role in "Birdman" did have some depth to it, tho. And "La La Land" does have it's share of dramatic moments, too - such as the subplot of Emma Stone doing a one-woman show to try and boost her career.

i wanted to punch her so bad in 'birdman'. then again, i wanted to punch everyone in that movie.
