What ended up really p------ me off was the outright fiction in the show, especially the depiction of the Boston Tea Party.

Yes, it is not accurate among others things.
HOWEVER, it does give people the opportunity to study, research, and basically 'Re-Learn' about our 'War of Independence'.
To try to Fully Understand (Grok) what the 'Declaration Of Independence' really meant during those times in our history.
To be able to sit down with others and discuss this.
To watch with our children and try to explain the importance of searching out the 'Real Story' of our country's history.
We all should know by now that ANY Film or TV Show will NEVER give an accurate depiction of historic events.
That always falls short.
'We The People' must be diligent in ourselves to search for the truth.
Especially the 'Truth' about something of this magnitude.
Now more than ever....
Why?
Well look at what has happened in this country in the last 20 Years.
The last 50 Years.
The last 100 Years.
We have LOST many of our Inalienable Rights within the time frame of at least 3 generations if not more.
(And I might add I will never 'Blame' this on a Political Party. It goes beyond Left vs. Right and vice versa. THAT in my opinion is the deception. To get ourselves fighting among ourselves 'Blaming The Other Side' for whatever the issue(s) happens to be on the table at a particular time. We need to see past that and Be Americans First)
Many of us have become complacent in our lives.
(Not all mind you....Thank the Creator)
Allowing others to do our thinking/deciding for us.
Allowing others to make laws that are UN-Constitutional.
Especially our 4th Amendment within the last 20 Years.
For example recently the so-called 'Patriot Act'.
Just over a 100 Years ago the Federal Reserve Act.
As Thomas Jefferson once said: "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it's natural manure."
So I will kindly will suggest that people go back and Re-Learn our history.
Study it and more importantly teach our children. ALSO, Ask our children what They Think.
(Isn't it ODD that Civics is not taught anymore in our classrooms)
History does and will repeat itself.
Until 'We The People' simply say: "No More!"
