Good, but no "John Adams".
It did not have the level of acting or depth of character that great series had.

shareI agree but maybe it's because the History Channel has a smaller budget than HBO? Just a guess. If you want to compare the two Sons of Liberty isn't nearly as good. The acting and casting were much better in John Adams.
shareJohn Adams was great, this was a steaming hot pile of fictional *beep*
shareCouldn't get through the first 15 minutes, it was so bad. John Adams character was so historically inaccurate it was awful. Adams should have been in his 40's and was a publisher and attorney, married with children; not jumping off rooftops! Just couldn't stomach it.
Based on what little I saw, "TURN: Washington's Spies" is so much better both in production and in acting.
In 1776 John Adams was 41. Henry Thomas was 44 when he played Adams in this series. These guys weren't born old.
shareI was about to start a thread saying the same thing!! The TV serie John Addams is far far better than Sons Of Liberty. What is weird is that it seems that both series have been written, produced, by the same persons. I was watching the show then, all in a sudden I was like "I played that video game?!?!" of course, it's scene by scenes exactly like Assassins Creed III, except it's was way more pleasant to play the game than to watch the serie..
