I wonder how they decide the order of the contestants' arrivals?

The big group of them that arrive first, the ones who start arriving not long after, etc.

Because the ones who are the last to arrive get slim pickings as just about everyone is paired up by then.

Imagine wanting to come on the show and being told you will be arriving last and feeling completely gipped!

It's deliberate. They ask everyone who they look like ahead of time then bring them in strategically at the best time for more drama

Yeah. The ones that others have said they liked or who will cause drama go on first. The ones like Carl, Ryan, Lauren who are just there to fill space go at the end.
