Disappointed with this Bachelor Selection

I don't understand this.

Why didn't they just go with Nick for the 2016 Bachelor. While I didn't mind Ben overall, he was the ultimate safe selection, clean cut, not too much of a character.

I know people will criticize the other options such as Luke, Chase, and I guess Robbie.
But why not give someone else a chance.

This franchise routinely jokes about people who continue to come around. Hell, Chris Butkowski had his Bachelor Jersey retired and had much less airtime than Nick.

So because Luke lives in a small town, he can't get his chance? I mean did they get scared off because of Chris Soules' season?

Not too mention I heard it mentioned that Jordan Rodgers wasn't going to come on the show if the Bachelorette was Caila. So why was it so crucial to have Jordan Rodgers on the show? I wasn't a fan of Caila, but that piece of information makes it sound like the JoJo and Jordan thing was already guaranteed even before Day 1.

Nick has had his chance. Then he had another chance coming on mid season during Kaitlyn's season. The other guys (namely Tanner) whined about it the entire time.

It would have been nice to see someone fresh and see a new storyline unfold. Sean Lowe and Ben Higgins were nothing special and things went okay.

I'm wondering why they didn't go with Wells... unless he's involved now. Nick is more likeable now than he was before, but still - I wish they could find someone new too. Why do they even bother to send the call out and ask people to apply when they only pick from their incestual pool of bachelors and bachelorettes every season. Fresh meat, please!

I do question some things based on how the show is edited. For example, on After Paradise, the men and women make a lot of references to valuable information that was said, but wasn't aired.

So is Nick really that likable, or was he given an edit that made it appear that way. Nick easily reverts back to the nosy, whiny, and "concerned citizen" within the same show. It was evident on last week's After Paradise.

Wells is turning out to be a total slut.

There is something about this show that brings out THE WORST in human behavior.

reply

I like Nick!

reply

How about herpes?

reply

It all seems like a set up. Wells is cashing in because he doesn't have to face any challengers.

The whole twins refusing to hand out roses debacle wiped out 3 guys, instead of 1.

reply

How is going out of a few dates being a slut? That's just ridiculous. He's going on dates, not having sex with them.

reply

I heard that Jordan signed up for the bachelorette because Caila was supposed to be the bachelorette? I wish they would've selected someone else only because Nick has been on the bachelor franchise more than enough times.

reply

I think it was the opposite. He wouldn't do the show if Caila was The Bachelorette. The big question really is - Why was it so important to have Jordan Rodgers on the show.

reply

The show thrives on tabloid coverage, and they knew if they had Jordan they'd get it.

reply

I think it's all about who has the most appeal to the audience and of course to the contestants. I think wells is a little boyish and luke is a little dull personality wise. Chasr is kinda mediocre also. Nick kinda has it all.

reply

But Chase is hot and he's the rugged type which is infinitely more attractive to a boy-man who wears capris.

reply

That's the thing. He only appeals to one group of people, the group of people who find him sexually attractive. Anyone else seems to think he's a bore.

Nick has more people interested in watching him, he has more cross-section appeal.

Nick has had his chance. Then he had another chance coming on mid season during Kaitlyn's season. The other guys (namely Tanner) whined about it the entire time.

He had a chance to date the bachelorette....which gives you a 1 in 25 chance of being the one she chooses. That's a pretty crappy chance both times around.

He's never had a chance to be The Bachelor.

Don't get me wrong, I can understand wanting someone fresh, but I also like going to a Season knowing a little bit about the person vying for 25 womens' hearts. Rooting for someone you already know.

reply

I can't stand Nick. Something about his whiny voice with lisp makes him so effeminate and also he hardly ever looks at the person he talks to, makes it look like he's got some type of mental issue or that he's lying/insincere. I was hoping they'd choose Robbie - at least he'd be entertaining to watch because he falls in love so easily. Luke would have been a good choice too because so many women liked him on Jojo's season. Nick has had plenty of chances and doesn't deserve anymore on the bachelor franchise.

reply

It's funny that you dislike Nick for being effeminate yet like Robby.

reply

It's all of those things combined that make Nick unappealing. Robbie is effeminate but at least can look at Jojo in the eye when he's talking to her, he doesn't come off like a creep.

It's a jungle, I'm a freak. Hear me talk, but never speak.
