This season: Want To See Again vs. Never Want To See Again on BIP?

Women from this season:

I want to see the chicken girl again (Interesting and cute--I was bummed that she was cut so early on her season.)
I never want to see Amanda again (Irresponsible, mindless dumbfvck. Also, annoying voice.)

Men from this season:

I want to see Wells again (He is cute and seems like a normal, genuine person.)
I never want to see Jared again (Mediocre-in-every-way. Doofus.)

Never really got why so many women on this show just go gaga for Jared.

reply

I agree about Amanda & Jared (never see again). I would like to add Ashley I., Caila, Josh and Evan. Oh Chad too.

I want to see Wells again and that is basically it. I enjoyed Daniel but I am in the minority.

I loved the first season, really liked the second, and am ambivalent about this one. It seems like they are having a hard time getting interesting contestants on here.

reply

I can't believe I'm saying this but I ended up liking Daniel, too.

I believe Dan is now a fan favorite because he's so funny and irreverent.

I loved Daniel. He was the life of the party and had great analysis on all of the drama that went on around him. It always made me laugh when someone was upset and Daniel would force them to talk about it in his very Daniel-esque way. Nothing was the same after he and the twins departed. They felt like core parts of the show, even though all three of them put very little effort into falling in love.

The biggest reason I doubt Daniel will be back is because I'm not sure he's ever going to find love in a heterosexual environment.

reply

I’d like to see Wells, Jubilee too, she was cut way too soon. Other than that, no repeats please!

Oh yeah, I forgot Jubilee.

The show letting the twins selfiously wipe out 3 guys really threw things out of whack.

You had like 4-5 girls competing for 2 guys. (Instead 4-5 girls competing for 4 guys).

And then the both those guys end up leaving unceremoniously (Wells and Brett).

That domino effect wiped out 1/3 of the cast.

I would rather have seen the two roses that the twins refused to hang out given to two of the men.

People coming in late had no chance because there were no options. If two more men had been there, it could have created a potential relationship to continue outside of Paradise.

reply

I agree that the twins put things way out of balance, but I think the show's format needs to change regardless of unexpected moves like that one. No matter who was left at the end, there's really no chance that anything will come from those late in the game relationships. Take Wells for instance - seems like a fun and sincere guy, several woman were genuinely interested, and he appeared to be enthusiastic about his options. Unlike the women who came late, he actually had a shot of finding someone to date (not marry). But he felt too rushed and there was too much pressure. I think the show has to change up the way they introduce new contestants... like release more of them at a time or something, and then stop adding new ones after a certain point. I also think it would be interesting if after a few episodes there was a mandatory switch up of some couples to test the relationships.

reply

I like the idea of anonymous date cards showing up for people. That way thd new person doesn't know who's matched up or not, and the one being asked out has to decide between playing it safe with who they're with or take a chance on the mystery date. Or they should make date cards obligatory, without the person knowing who's connected. People don't want to get kicked off so they become very territorial. The fun part comes from people venturing off and meeting new people, not in watching two people make out for three weeks.

But I doubt they'll change.

reply

Yes, a lot of those ideas are good and would add a lot more intrigue to a formula that's a bit stale. It would create more Izzy-Vinny-Brett situations, which (love it or hate it) was surprising and interesting. I definitely would like to see new people come in and give away their date card without getting the lowdown on which couples are "off limits." They could introduce a rule where you are only allowed to turn down one date card for the whole time you're there, thus forcing more of the stable couples to venture out on dates with others. Because you're right, a lot of the time it's a survival tactic to stay with your current partner just to stick it out for all of Paradise.

But for whatever odd reason, the franchise thinks we're all obsessed with engagements, so yeah... I doubt they'll do much to decrease the chances of proposals at the end. Other than Jade and Tanner, I have not cared much for any of the engagements that have come from BIP. Lacy and Marcus were ok, but didn't really love them either.

reply

Agree on Wells. I liked Daniel too. Would like to see Jamie and The chicken girl again since they didn't get much of a chance.
Please no more Jared, Ashley, Sarah, Chad. Enough. I could do without Caila too.

reply

I would like to see Britt make an appearance. I would also like them to bring Wes back from Gillian's season.

reply

Britt would be a good one!

reply

Britt would be a fantastic choice! She has a lot of personality and people seem to either love her or hate her.

reply

Maybe give Vinny another chance, but I don't know if he would come back.

reply

Wouldn’t mind Vinny. Maybe Lauren H. She seems nice.

Trolls Need Not Apply

reply

Not many. I don't think Wells is the type of guy to 'fall in love' in 18 days,so I don't think there's much point in bringing him back.

I wouldn't have a huge issue with them bringing back a Tiara or Lauren H, except for the fact that they would only come back at the same stage as this year ie too late so there isn't much point in bringing them back.

I'm a Daniel fan so I'd say him, but again he's not going to fall in love, so what's the point?

As long as they don't bring back anyone who has already been on twice (especially Ashley I) I'll be happy. Wouldn't mind seeing Britt or crazy Kelsey, or even James Taylor and Chase I suppose next season.

reply

Agree about Wells. He is just too normal for this type of thing.

James Taylor would be a good one. Chase is sooooo unexpressive but he is quite nice to look at so I would be up for that.

I was not an Olivia fan but I actually think she would be an entertaining addition to BiP.

Yes she'd take the Lace/Ashley I role nicely. I have a feeling she's done with the show though, and I don't blame her.
