Whats the obsession with Boba Fett? seriously. Nobody cares. There are like 5 people who like him due to his cool armor.
Just make a new movie about new characters already. The Star Wars universe is bigger than OT characters.....
And if you decide to bring in old characters, give the PT fans some love. Revenge of the Sith is my fav Star Wars movie but it gets 0 love.
Exactly - it's a terrible idea.
Plus you've already got a mess of a backstory for the character thanks to Attack of the Clones.
Just write a new story with new characters. It's staggering really: it's a *galaxy* you can tell any story you want and you can fill it with all the amazing Star Wars style sounds and images... it's a writers wet dream and Disney has decided instead just to suck the marrow from the OT. They're cowards.
I'm actually reading books (new books, canon and Disney-approved) that are WAY better than whatever they are actually making. Lost Stars is a book I am reading right now and it is amazing! If they would make a movie about that it would blow everyone away.
shareHowever the OT character still have the most impact as a whole and Boba Fett is probably the biggest character not part of the main cast people might be interested in.
shareI'd like a PT character more than a OT character in the case of a new standalone movie. And make it revolve not around the character, but around events.
shareI am more interested in Obi-Wan, but if this does take place after the Sarlacc Pit then it could interest me. However if its set between Attack of the clones and ROTJ times frame, I will be underwhelmed.
shareIf they delve into the lore of the Mandalorian culture this could be good.
shareSo, will Boba Fett be a grizzled old loner who picks up a young girl who has the same skills as he does and they go off trying to find Eden?
shareI never understood the appeal of Boba Fett. He's the one and only element from the old trilogy that everyone seems to like but me. What's so special about him?
George Lucas admitted many times that Fett was nothing more than a bit character that he put little thought into and all the "mystique" of his character was fan-made.
I don't know--I never cared for Boba Fett. I even read a book or two on his character as a kid and just never cared. I cared even LESS after Attack of the Clones.
He'll be fired by KK if he doesn't bend to her will.
