Pretty damn poor effort.

Got bored, decided to rent a movie. Sometimes an independent movie like Moon comes along, and blows you away with a great story with minimal cast.

Sometimes you get the stinking pile of dung that this is. No strong characterization, a plot that after the half-way point becomes laughable, no tangible arc to the story that carries you through the dialogue, and finally, an ending that isn't. I don't mind movies that don't have cut-and-dried endings, that leave some things open to questioning, but in order for those movies to work there has to be a strong everything to make it work, including a plot that is clear and concise such that you have some idea of what actually is happening, not just a bunch of vague notions.

A rubbish waste of time, this movie. 2/10.

I don't tend to agree with people that bash a movie just because he/she got bored, but in your case? YEAH, I 100% agree with you, really poor effort, what pisses me off real bad is how good the movie started, they had all the pieces in there to make a really fine story and the slow pace moved perfectly with the jump scares that brings the realization of what is happening later, but, sadly, the second act is SUPER WEAK and I mean, real bad, it's so bad that it's like watching a very good movie (first act) and then sudently realizing that I was watching a poor adaptation of a B-movie from a very poor movie.. even the actors in the second act were poor compared to the main cast, for me it was like WTF is wrong with this people, horrible, and to completely destroy the movie, that ending...it's like saying *beep* you viewer, you wasted your time, sorry !

I hated that ending so much, if you want to see a real good movie that it's a surprise and not in a bad way like this one, please do yourself a favor and watch Infini, I loved it, it's like this movie in reverse, starts average, gets better and better and ends glorious.
