This guy has left the door wide open for 400 days 2... the director or writer or whoever..

was the ending just a tape recording.. what was that bright light coming in the hatch. Were the other two people ever there?

I think the bright light is just that: A light. To point the 4 inhabitants to the exit ... and to allow great shots for the press people from above.

First, there were no lights up there around the door. Second, do you think these 4 scientists would forget where they entered the "ship"?
