Actresses who do nude scenes use 70s bush to be less, well, nude. P.S. Do you shave YOUR bush, off both balls and taint? If not, shut it. Get some life experience. Travel. Watch the "Backpacker Bush" video on you tube. I dunno.

It is a thing in America, due to porn mostly, to shave and/or trim the genitals. In Europe, it is not as big of a deal to let your stuff grow natural.

I'm American but have been living in Europe for ten years and it has been something I've noticed for a while. There isn't the stigma associated with pubic hair as there is in the states.

I'm wondering if there's a more practical reason for the prodigious pubes (apart from the director's nostalgic porn memories). As you say, there's no labia or vagina shots - I'm guessing that such shots would propel this film straight onto the porn shelves? By getting the actresses to grow back their bushes, this conveniently covers up all those naughty little details, and gives the film a fighting chance at being accepted as mainstream. (We might not like it, but that's how things are right now!)

PS. BTW, fuzzy 70s bushes are mostly regarded as just as quaint in the UK as they are in the US...

There were no merkins used in this film. What you saw was the pubic hair of the actresses. Come to Europe and you will see LOTS of untrimmed pubic hair. Only Americans and ladies in the Adult Film Industry remove their pubic hair.

I do recall the shaved look or the Brazillian making an appearance in 1998-99 in the U.S. Of course, fortunately, there were plenty of American gals wo kept the bush. By the early 2000's, (in my experience) it seemed like most women were past that fad. I did not come across shaved females. All were either judiciously trimmed or completely full. I was with plenty of women whose bushes resembled Elektra's (but not a merkin). By 2003 I was with the woman who would become my wife and she is blessedly blond and completely full-bushed. So I can't testify as to what other females have been doing since '03.
