I think it's Belinda or someone paid by her. She's got the motivation.

And what's wrong with it being obvious? It sets it up for a very interesting 2nd season. A lot more interesting than just the gimmick of momentarily surprising us with someone we didn't expect. It's all about setting up the drama for the next season.

Think about it, she's shown that she has a very dark side and can be pretty extreme in certain circumstances. Now that she's been fired, publicly humiliated and had her kids taken away, she has the most motivation to do something that crazy. I think she's just getting started and they're setting her up to be the antagonist to Gamby/Russell in season 2 (just like they were to her in season 1), which would be great b/c she's going to be relentless and super nuts if she found out what they did to her.

And she's in every episode of season 2. What else could she be doing? She can't be the principal again after what she did. Her kids got taken up north. Why would she stay down there if not for revenge? What else could she be doing in every episode?
