I bet Barbara dies violently but far along enough and in a way that allows the baby to survive, be named Barbara after her mother, and go to Jim and Lee.

That sounds about right. Jim and Lee will end up together at the end and no way they kill off the pregnant woman AND the baby.

I've just had a thought.

In the comics, wasn't Barbara adopted by Jim Gordon? Or did I make that up.
