I still haven't seen it yet, but I plan to check it out later. I have been in the yard most of the afternoon helping my husband rake up the TONS of leaves. We have a full truck load for the compost site. I am pooped!
After that?????? I hope I'm ready for this!

I am looking forward to it! I will definitely check in with my feelings once I have seen it.
shareIt seems pretty boring so far, instead of dealing with whats happening you get all the womans thoughts, which could be an interesting idea yet to be fair are dragging on and on. How long is the conversation about the molestation go on for! Slowww. I do like the problem solving aspect though yet doesn't seem to be too much of that. Back to the thoughts of Gerald prattling on about how you cant escape and about how no one will notice her.Fucking hell they sure know how to drag a scene out...
shareI watched. It wasn't bad. I actually liked that they included the tie in with Delores Claiborne, like they did in the two stories.
It was funny, the way they referenced certain King things from his other stories.... even the name, King.
I do feel that the book is better. You had the feeling of her being alone, obviously...
With herself and Gerald in the room with her, even if it was in her mind, it just didn't feel as though she was alone and cut off from everyone.
To me, it was a nice try, but I just didn't feel it.

"I wonder if Netflix will attempt any others now?"
Any other King adaptations? If that is what you mean, one is coming to Netflix next month.... October 20th? I'll have to check the exact date, but it is an adaptation of a Stephen King story from his book, Full Dark, No Stars. The story is called, 1922. I think that I am more excited to see 1922 than I was to see Gerald's Game.

Just watched it...But I didnt read the book, so all I have to reply to is the movie. I liked it, wasnt thrilled. It was slow in the beginning. I kinda didnt buy the whole serial killer twist. The dog was annoying, but other than that, it held my interest until the end.
shareSPOILER
I liked it and was interested to see how the movie would end and if she'd get out of the handcuffs. Im a bit confused thou as to why didn't the serial killer get her?didn't understand that bit, and why she went to the courtroom?
Yes, the court room scene seemed very odd. I wouldn't think you could just walk into a courtroom during proceedings, say your piece and then walk out. Maybe it all happened to fast for them to be able to stop her.
