Wow...
Brian Krause's beard was skin to that of a mall Santa! I'm certain that all Amish are this attractive too. I'm only five minutes in and already rolling my eyes!

shareThe bad fake Amish beards in Lifetime movies are so laughable and distracting it's become almost a game to me to find these movies so I can see just how bad they are! The rest so far-I'm 25 minutes in-has so many inaccuracies of Amish culture it's annoying! And yes it DOES matter...if you're going to do a movie based on a culture it behooves you to do your research and I know more about Amish culture from studying it in college and the information is easily accessible.

This is just your opinion and it depends on what the movie is trying to say. In this case this wasn't a movie based on Amish culture and not a documentary (which is the only place accuracy is a must). It was a movie about first love, coming of age, and what it means for one person to leave their culture for a new one. Essentially it's the cliche, "boy and girl ride off into the sunset" story. The girl being Amish was just a way to drive the theme of how difficult it can be for a person to leave a culture and it added the drama needed for the conflict in this sort of film. A lot of people love the Romeo and Juliet thing.
This isn't a film worthy of an Oscar or unique but it isn't about Amish culture. It was just a good film to watch while sitting at home relaxing.
there was one part when he hugs Hannah goodbye, where it is actually falling off.
