Getting to the boat then staying on the boat.

Maybe they hear talk of a safe place in Washington and decide to go there. They decide to sail the boat down to the Panama canal and back up again. They hit small towns and islands for regular supplies. Sometimes they hit big cities.

That should have been the show.

Exactly. It would've still turned into an endless series of conflicts with various antagonistic groups.........just like the parent show.

Lather....rinse.....repeat etc etc etc ad nauseum

I'm thinking it would have been better to show a group of survivors from breakout to "new normal." Then once they've established themselves, start with a different group, rinse repeat. The number of scenarios and stories to tell would be endless.

You seem to be very certain of yourself.

Back when the show was new, this was a common theme on the IMDb boards, so I can be reasonably sure that there were plenty of people who thought this way.

the show should have also followed likeable characters instead of a self-centered asshole family
