they have really turned this show around this season. i'm even starting to like nick. it's been a very pleasant surprise.

Nick is becoming the most sane and moral person in the show. It's funny how things changed. Madison used to be the sane one, but now she seems to have lost her moral compass. And Nick who started as a crazy junkie looks like he found his inner peace. He even seems wise now, and I think Jeremiah is seeing this in him and that's why he wants to bond with him.

Nick has said he is more comfortable in this world and everybody else is trying to catch up.

Sometimes he seems like he's reached some kind of nirvana, while the rest of the world went nuts. His behavior reminds me of Jeff Bridges in the movie Fearless (don't read further if you haven't watched the movie) [spoiler]when after a plane crash, he suddenly seemed suspiciously calm for no apparent reason. It turned out later that it was because he was still in the state of shock.[/spoiler]

I agree. I am looking forward to the next episodes which is odd. The first two seasons I was watching, reluctantly.
I always liked Nick. He was the only character I could tolerate. He has really become quite a sage fellow.
[spoiler]I couldn't stand Travis and so glad he is gone![/spoiler]
