sharewhat's wrong with uli edel?
shareMrFilmJunkie, there's nothing wrong with Uli Edel, like I said above, I confused him as always with Uwe Boll. I really thought you were trolling me, so that's why I didn't reply to you. :p
shareyeah, i supposed you either had uli edel confused with boll or you judged edel merely by his movie "zeiten ändern dich" (which has a 2.7 rating on imdb).
shareReally, what are you nattering on about? Edel got me to sit through a few hours of Adrien Brody, who I think is kind of a chucklehead, and enjoy "Houdini". "The Baader-Meinhof Complex" is a tight and well done piece of historic real life drama. His TV work that I've seen is good, honoring the source material.
Maybe you're confusing Uli Edel with Uwe Boll?

At first I thought "are these guys trolling me?". But fortunately, you were smart enough to get it...Yes, I confused him with Uwe Boll! I always confuse them, their names sound so similar in my head. So whenever I read "Uli Edel", I think "oh, that bad German director...".
So yes, Edel is a decent director (judging from the few films of his that I have seen, Christiane F, Last Exit to Brooklyn, Baader Meinhof). But this movie here, doesn't look good. 5,5 rating, another abduction movie, and watching the trailer, I thought it was shot in New Orleans, like all the latest Cage movies (which has became a little boring), but it's in Toronto. Whatever. Well, at least it has some spooky elements in it, and Cage is my guilty pleasure, I watch all his movies, no matter how bad they are, so all good!
And I really found it hard to believe that Cage could have worked with Boll, it would be sad to be THAT desperate!
Yeah, I'm clever that way sometimes. Glad we got that straightened out.

If you know you messed up, you should edit your original post, or you can't really be surprised when people call you out on what you say.
