Why all the jump scares?
I love the Cage and I watch his movies in any case, but this movie was quite decent in my opinion.
It was dark with a good pace and an uneasy feeling to it, and it would have been better if that pleasant atmosphere of discomfort for a thriller was not filled with cheap and stupid jump scares at times. I really hate that stuff.
With all the jump scares removed from the movie, and with a better ending (the existing one felt kind of lazy and rushed), the movie could be a solid 7/10.
Doing a thing well is often a waste of time
