Just finished watching it

It's worth it. It's beautifully shot, it doesn't look like a B movie whatsoever, and the plot is coherent and wraps itself up. I was actually surprised by the quality of the movie, this could have been shown in theaters as a crime/cop drama easily compared to some of the crap that does make it to the big screen. Go ahead and watch it, it's not terrible.

it's main problem is that the overall movie is ultimately forgettable but i will say the later half of the movie is better than the earlier half which is pretty generic.

5/10 (Thumbs Down) ; but it's alright enough for a viewing.

----------------------------------------------------------------

The only Nicolas Cage movies of any real worth (i.e. 7/10 or higher) for me are...

1.Lord of War (2005) - 10/10 (within my Top 17 movies)
2.The Family Man (2000) - 8/10 (within my Top 83 movies)
3.Drive Angry (2011) - 7/10 (within my Top 232 movies)
4.Face/Off (1997) - 6.5-7/10 (within my Top 232 movies)

there used to be more than those four but they took a hit for me within the last few years or so.

p.s. there is only 232 movies out of the 1,950+ total i have seen that scored a 7 or higher from me. i still like 6/10 range movies though and re-watch those from time to time but 7's and higher is when movies start to stand out from the pack for me.

I liked Lord of war, but the rest of the list is not Classic crazy cage at his best. I couldn't even finish Drive angry, and it was a free movie.

For me:
bad lieutenant- his best to me, and a great film
Snake eyes
8mm
Adaptation- Also a great film
Kickass- just because of him though

Check them out if you haven't the chance yet.

Wasn't bad... but I wouldn't say the quality of it was that great. To me the colors were washed out and it had the look of a film shot with a blackmagic camera that they forgot to post process... Highlights appeared completely blown out in most scenes where you had indoor and outdoor in the same frame.

Well in all fairness I was pretty drunk when I watched it.

Agreed, pretty good film! 7/10 for me
