The ending pissed me off...

I'm not the type that always hopes for the happy ending... but come on! This could have ended so much better. Also Elijah's character took a 180 at the end which didnt make sense... to go that far then to screw everything up. Sorry just need to vent!

It really pissed me off. Not just the way ending, but about 2/3 of the way through the film there's a shift in tone or theme or something. If I had stopped up until that point I would have given the movie a solid 10/10 stars. The first half is so much fun. There are so many laugh out loud moments. It's a cynical portrait of police in Las Vegas, in no way realistic, but a lot of fun nonetheless. I just don't understand what the last part of the movie had to do with the first half. It's frustrating when characters start behaving out of character and sabotaging the story. It just felt lazy.

It's actually before that. the scene where they find the guns is what shifts the story. Like he really starts freaking out that they are in over their heads. but what did he think they were gonna find in there? What organization that builds a 3 foot thick vault they were planning to rob was he assuming WOULDN'T violently vindicate the robbery?? It should never have been a surprise.

Cage already committed murder twice... why didn't he just kill the girl too. It wouldn't make any difference.

Instead, he let her live, and the geeky guy who has to pay for sex pretty much takes pity on her. Idiot. At no point did they ask her "WHY are you here?" She said she didn't know the guy she was there with... so how did she get there? Why was she there? If she's there odds are she's connected to it somehow. Morons.

Frodo shoots Cage... but doesn't put one in him when he's laying on the floor? After the scene where they blow a hole in the floor and he was playing dead/unconscious, why would he not think Cage was playing possum again. Turns out he wasn't but why chance it.

The ending was as weird as the first act.... almost makes me think that the PD is somehow connected to that place. Jerry Lewis' dialogue had a mysterious tone. The other people in the department were all a little off. Then the final scene of the evidence being files and stored... just had a weird vibe to it.

Same here. I mean, it would have worked in other films but not this one.
