Looks good

But the runtime is a little concerning to me. This looks like the kind of film that could definitely drag on

Definitely. Hopefully it is gripping enough.

I don't mind the length of movies though.

I just saw American Honey at the Calgary international film festival today. It was great. I did not know that it was going to be such a long movie, but, it did not take away anything from the film. In fact did not now how much time had past until I checked the clock after it was over. The film is quite engaging with a lot of symbolism, and, metaphor throughout. It is much more than a glimpse of wild American teenage life. It has a lot of drama, and, action. Strong messages about the past, present, and, future state of America can be also be found if you look for them. At all times the film has both a looming sense of impending disaster with a delicate touch of spirituality, and, hope. It is shot entirely with hand held cameras at a close range which gave it a sense of being a fly on the wall for a small ,but, chaotic period in the characters lives. The acting was great; even Shia Labeouf was very good. I could say more, but there is no need. It is a great film; check it out. I am sure you will like it. ~G~ 
